Combat Medic

The role of a Combat Medic is multifaceted and requires strong medical knowledge as well as effective communication skills. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a military corps medic, EMT, or nurse role and hold current medical registration or license to practice.

This position involves developing course content, including Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation. A key responsibility of this role is course content development, which includes creating engaging and informative materials for training purposes.

Additionally, the successful applicant will be required to engage effectively with stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are informed and up-to-date on the progress of the project. This may involve coordinating meetings, providing updates, and facilitating open communication channels.

The individual appointed to this position will possess a strong background in training course system design and implementation, with a particular emphasis on delivering high-quality training programs that cater to the needs of combat and non-combat medical personnel.

Prior operational experience is desirable, as is a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. The ability to demonstrate clinical currency and effective verbal and presentation skills will also be highly valued.

Key responsibilities of the position include:

Mandatory requirements for this role include previous experience as a military corps medic, EMT, or nurse, current medical registration or license to practice, and willingness to travel. Requirements include paramedics, EMTs, and Nurses with prior military experience in a specialist medical role, strong background in training course system design and implementation, and prior operational experience.
