Job Description

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Aerial Sensor Technician to join our team at Fugro. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our geospatial data collection systems are operational and efficient.

This role is primarily based at our Kidman Park office, with our fit for purpose workshop. Approximately 5-10% of duties involve travel to site to provide field support to our operational teams anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Work closely with Aviation Operations team and other stakeholders to ensure survey systems and equipment are prepared and maintained for geo data collection in a safe and efficient manner.
  2. Provide first line technical support to Survey Operations in Australia and New Zealand, from the office and in the field if required.
  3. Support and maintain systems involving embedded computers, lasers, optics, electronics, cameras, and navigation systems.
  4. Manage inventory and prepare freight for systems and spares.
  5. Install and demobilize systems in aircraft and provide equipment logistics support.
  6. Develop design modifications and improve maintenance documentation as needed.

Requirements

  1. Skilled in diagnosing and analyzing complex system faults.
  2. Proficient in computer operations, troubleshooting, and networking.
  3. Strong communication skills and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  4. Excellent time management and adaptable to various work environments.
