Legal Advisor Position

We are seeking a skilled Legal Advisor to join our organization.

  • This role will involve drafting and negotiating various contracts, including EPCs, O&M Contracts, Connection Agreements, and Power Purchase Agreements.
  • The successful candidate will have experience in energy law, commercial areas of the law, and strong knowledge of good ethics and corporate governance.
  • A tertiary qualification in law is required, with post-graduation qualifications highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drafting and negotiating Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPCs) Contracts and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Contracts.
  2. Negotiating Connection Agreements and Power Purchase Agreements.
  3. Liaising with external legal counsel on outsourced legal matters.
  4. Assisting in identifying and managing key legal risks within the group.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in law.
  • Post-graduation qualifications well regarded.
  • 3+ years post-admission experience as a lawyer.
  • General legal experience in commercial areas of the law, with specialist experience in energy law highly relevant.
  • Sound knowledge and ability to work in a manner consistent with good ethics, our values, and good corporate governance.
