We are seeking an experienced Primary Health Care Professional to join our team in delivering high-quality patient care to Aboriginal communities.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Chronic Disease Management: Provide comprehensive management of chronic diseases, including diabetes and heart disease, to patients in the community.
- Health Checks: Conduct routine health checks to identify and manage preventable conditions.
- Preventative Care: Develop and implement preventative care plans to promote healthy lifestyles and reduce the risk of chronic disease.
- Culturally Sensitive Care: Deliver culturally sensitive patient care that respects the values and traditions of Aboriginal communities.
- Multidisciplinary Teamwork: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal community health outcomes.
- Advocacy and Leadership: Advocate for community health and lead preventative care initiatives to improve the overall health and wellbeing of Aboriginal communities.
Requirements:
- Current AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner or equivalent qualification.
- RACGP or ACRRM Fellowship.
- Commitment to integrating Aboriginal values in practice.
- Recent emergency training certification.
- Willingness to work in remote areas and adapt to changing circumstances.
