Environmental Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Chairperson for our newly established Natural Resource Management Advisory Committee (NRMAC).

The committee advises on strategic investments related to natural resource management within our region, including investments related to the delivery of national programs.

As a public spokesperson, you will represent the committee when required, attending government events and national committees.

  • Mandatory qualifications:
    • Extensive experience in natural resource management or a related field
  • Highly desirable qualifications:
    • Qualifications in environmental science, natural resource management or a related field
    • Experience participating in high-level representative committees
    • Experience representing organisations on a national level

This is a full-time position, appointed for a period of up to three years. Meetings will be held quarterly, with additional time required to prepare for meetings and perform representational duties.

Key responsibilities include advising on strategic investments, representing the committee at government events and national committees, and contributing to the development of policies and strategies related to natural resource management.

Additionally, you will have opportunities to engage with community organisations involved in natural resource management and contribute to the growth and development of the NRMAC.
