Heavy Mobile Equipment Technician

This is an excellent opportunity to work as a Heavy Mobile Equipment Technician in our Pilbara Operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing planned preventative and breakdown maintenance across our extensive fleet of heavy mobile equipment.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced technician who can work independently and as part of a team to perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot complex problems, and ensure that all equipment is in good working condition. You will work closely with our Mobile Maintenance Supervisors and other technicians to achieve these goals.

Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire checks
- Troubleshoot complex problems with heavy mobile equipment, including electrical and mechanical issues
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before they become major issues
- Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Requirements

- An Australian Auto Electrical Trade Qualification or equivalent experience
- Experience working on heavy mobile equipment, preferably in a mining environment
- Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
