Job Opportunity: STEM Outreach Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a STEM Outreach Educator. This role will involve coordinating various national programs, supporting the development of an overall STEM Plan, and delivering engaging STEM events and work experience programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and agree on an overall STEM strategy in alignment with the company's Education and Skills objectives.
  • Contribute to the STEM outreach plan ensuring seamless integration with business goals.
  • Facilitate the creation of STEM content and learning materials for events, including work experience programs.
  • Develop and maintain effective STEM engagement policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Plan and execute onsite STEM Work Experience Programs nationally.
  • Support stakeholders in developing project-funded work experience programs.
  • Coordinate day-to-day STEM Influencer activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful STEM events.
  • Report on STEM outreach metrics, such as participant demographics, frequency of engagement, and evaluation of events/programs.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Events Management, Training, Education, or STEM would be highly regarded.
  • Experience in coordinating work experience and/or training activities and events involving multiple contributors and locations.
  • A background in working with children, high school students, and young professionals.
  • Strong self-management skills and proven ability to work independently to deliver quality outputs.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to suit diverse audiences.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Results-driven approach, resilience, and a proactive attitude towards issues resolution.
  • Excellent coordination and management skills to lead volunteers and site coordinators.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
