Forensic Psychiatrist RoleWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Forensic Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary inpatient team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with local universities and the wider forensic network across Scotland.This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to redesign and developments across mental health services, including forensic psychiatry, underpinned by our Mental Health Strategy and supported by a strong leadership team.Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing expert psychiatric care to patients with complex needs
  • Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver effective treatment plans
  • Contribute to the development of mental health services, including forensic psychiatry
  • Participating in research, audit, and teaching/training activities
Requirements:To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
  • Full GMC Registration and a license to practice
  • Eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register
  • Higher specialist training leading to CCT or confirmed entry within 6 months of interview
  • Portfolio Pathway (formerly CESR) route doctors eligible once awarded
