Reconciliation Officer

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Reconciliation Officer to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of financial accounts and transactions. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reconcile financial accounts and transactions on a daily basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Prepare reports summarizing reconciliations and variances for management review, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other teams to gather necessary information for reconciliations, fostering strong relationships and communication.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy, contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations and best practices, staying current with industry developments and trends.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial statements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with a strong foundation in financial principles and practices.
  • Proven experience in financial reconciliation, with a track record of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and identify trends.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with a strong commitment to quality and precision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
