Working in a fast-paced retail and consumer goods business can be an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Lawyer. This role will support a leading brand with a strong presence, innovative products, and customer-first approach.

The successful candidate will partner with stakeholders across marketing, merchandising, product, operations, and technology to provide practical legal advice that enables growth while managing risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including supplier, distribution, licensing, technology, and marketing contracts.
  • Advise on consumer law, advertising, promotions, privacy/data protection, and competition law.
  • Work with the business on product launches, marketing campaigns, and strategic initiatives to ensure compliance from concept through delivery.
  • Contribute to governance and risk frameworks, developing policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Manage relationships with external legal providers to ensure high-quality and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Assist with dispute resolution, regulatory engagement, and intellectual property protection.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3–6 years' PQE gained in-house or in private practice, with strong commercial law experience.
  • Commercial contract experience with the ability to balance legal risk and business outcomes.
  • Proven ability in consumer law, privacy/data protection, and corporate governance.
  • Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative, solution-oriented approach.
