About the Role:

The Ship Manager will be responsible for optimizing cargo stowage and vessel utilization to ensure safety and cost-efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of maritime operations, strategic planning, and effective time management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement efficient cargo stowage plans to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate vessel schedules, monitor operations across ports, and address disruptions in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for operational improvements and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in nautical studies or an equivalent level of seagoing Certificate of Competency.
  • Minimum 4-5 years' experience in the Operational aspects of the shipping industry.
  • Practical experience in the terminal/shipboard operational aspect of the shipping industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
