Job Title: Systems Administrator/Engineer
Northbridge Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting all aspects of IT systems and services, including network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunications systems.
The role requires someone who has worked in an autonomous role previously and can demonstrate a high level of soft skills combined with technical ability. You will be supporting operations as well as the architecture team to build out new systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide infrastructure support, liaising with business units to address their IT needs and ensuring compliance with SLA objectives.
- Develop, maintain, support, and optimize key technologies encompassing network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, telecommunications systems, and data centre provisioning.
- Administer, maintain, and resolve a range of O365 deployments/configurations/escalations.
- Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
- Monitor system performance, promptly resolving any issues that arise.
- Foster strong working relationships with key suppliers, conducting all dealings in a professional and appropriate manner.
- Assume responsibility for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, virtualization, and cloud environments.
- Perform or delegate regular backup operations, implementing robust data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
Technical Landscape:
- WINTEL & O365 including Active Directory design, management experience including technology solutions based on Windows & Cisco Meraki, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, O365.
- VMware ESX, Microsoft Hyper-V virtualisation & Backup solutions.
- On-prem & multi-cloud, Azure & AWS.
