Job Title: Geologist - Underground Operations

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled geologist to join our underground operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality geology services, working closely with the mining team to maximize operational efficiency and ore recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with diamond core logging of underground grade control and exploration programs;
  • Support the mining team in maximizing ore recovery and minimizing dilution;
  • Assist with underground diamond drill rig management;
  • Utilize site systems and QA/QC protocols to ensure the quality and integrity of data; and,
  • Contribute to the delineation, extension and discovery of Reserves; and
  • Collect and analyze underground grade control data (face mapping, face sampling, core logging) in preparation for block modeling.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Bachelor of Science majoring in Geology;
  • Previous mining industry experience – preferably gold – with exposure to mine geology, grade control practices and reserve/stope definition drilling;
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and mining software such as Datamine and Leapfrog or similar;
  • Possess a current manual Driver's Licence.
