Job Title: Aged Care Support Worker

About the Role

Our organisation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Support Worker to join our team in a permanent part-time role. The successful applicant will be supporting clients across the Tweed Region, covering Tweed to Murwillumbah and surrounding suburbs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assisting with hygiene, grooming, dressing, mobility, eating, and safe transfers.
  • Domestic Assistance: Helping with cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and light gardening.
  • Social Support: Providing companionship and encouraging engagement through conversation and activities.
  • Transportation: Supporting clients with shopping, appointments, and community access.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in community or aged care support (including domestic duties).
  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support/Aged Care (with transcripts).
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Current driver's licence and access to a registered, insured vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel up to 45–60 minutes.
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination highly desirable.
  • Minimum 20–30 hours per fortnight, with potential to increase after probation.
  • Availability to start shifts from 7:00 AM on weekdays.
  • Ideally available 3–4 weekdays, including Fridays.
  • Alternating weekend availability highly desirable.
  • Successful applicants must complete a National Police Check and provide proof of work rights in Australia.
