Offshore Vessel Officer

This is a casual position for dynamic officers who want to support our Offshore Vessels across Australia. The roster will be 4 weeks.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Assist the Master in navigating and operating the vessel.
  • Experience in Winch operations working on AHTS and/or PSV Offshore vessels.
  • Lead emergency response operations and support the crew in safety drills.
  • Ensure adherence to the company's Safety Management System and policies.
  • Act as the designated DP Operator and manage all associated duties.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date navigation logbooks.
  • Oversee the vessel's stability, trim, and fuel management.
  • Participate in the training and development of the deck crew.
  • Facilitate communication between the bridge and engineering teams for improved operational efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a current Chief Officer DP Unlimited Certificate of Competency.
  • Current experience as Chief Officer Offshore vessels such as CSV, AHTS or PSV.
  • Dynamic Positioning Operators Certificate (DPO).
  • Demonstrate Winch operating experience and/or certified is beneficial.
  • Completed STCW Certification requirements for Offshore Marine.
  • GMDSS General Operators Certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong leadership abilities and able to build positive team environment across the vessel.
  • Resilient, Adaptable and Flexible in managing multiple tasks effectively within high-pressure situations.

Requirements:

  • Chief Officer DP Unlimited Certificate of Competency.
  • DP Operator Certification.
  • Winch operating experience.
  • STCW Certification.
  • GMDSS General Operators Certificate.
