Job Title: Payroll Operations Specialist
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Payroll Operations Specialist to join our team in Brisbane. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to timely delivery of day-to-day payroll and local regulatory compliance activities, overseeing employee data and organisational hierarchy maintenance, resolving internal, external or BPO queries including technical issues or complex payroll and/or employee data queries.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal control standards and regulatory requirements;
- Identify and assist with implementation of continuous improvement opportunities;
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to exchange information and assist with ad hoc requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 5 years experience in payroll activities with comprehensive understanding of relevant Australian payroll legislation, payroll and superannuation;
- Good knowledge of SAP or similar system within a large organisation;
- Effective time management and planning to meet deadlines, coupled with high attention to detail;
- Resilience and ability to thrive in a continuous improvement culture and have a strong commitment to team-based processes and outcomes;
- Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office products coupled with strong analytical skills;
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
