Key Role of a Pedagogy Coach

The Pedagogy Coach plays a pivotal role in educational institutions. As a key member of the leadership team, this coach will lead, mentor and support teachers to design flexible curriculum and contemporary pedagogies.

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teachers to develop student-centred learning experiences that promote social and enterprise skills for a changing world.
  • Enhance learning outcomes by building teacher capacity to use data effectively, ensure alignment with the School Vision and foster an innovative teacher mindset.
  • Model highly accomplished teaching using contemporary pedagogy and flexible curriculum design.
  • Support teachers in the use of digital technology to enhance learning and contribute to a culture of imagination, creativity and innovation.
  • Lead professional learning dialogues by facilitating teams to meet, plan, prepare, deliver and evaluate learning.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills including empathy and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students and families.
  • Strong knowledge of research-based practices and data analysis.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring teachers.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
