We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will complete equipment repairs and maintenance to a high standard, ensuring safe and reliable production within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete daily mechanical maintenance activities as directed by the supervisor.
  • Troubleshoot machine components to determine causes of failures when required.
  • Ensure all work orders are completed properly in accordance with quality standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to assistants in their duties.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.
  • Maintain punctuality at all times.
  • Ensure parts are used properly within the work order task descriptions.
  • Return unused parts for credit and store them safely.
  • Clean and label removed parts with associated work order details.
  • Return company tools to their designated area after use.
  • Maintain the surrounding work area and workshops in a clean and safe state.
  • Raise improvement opportunity ideas with the supervisor or superintendent.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III Engineering – Mechanical Fitter (Fixed Plant) recognised in Australia.
  • Forklift license
  • Confined Space certification
  • Working with Heights training
  • Experience in fixed plant operations in a mine processing environment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work well in a remote area team.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality.
