Opportunity

You will play a vital role in commissioning, servicing, and repairing our underground equipment as one of our technicians. Our clients' sites are approximately an hour's drive from our branch, so you'll be able to go home every night.

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • Experience in modification and repairs of heavy mobile equipment
  • A Certificate III Fitter or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 3 years' industry experience
  • Availability to work between 55-60 hours per week when working on site
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and experience with a high level of problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • The ability to read CAD engineer drawings, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics
  • Previous underground experience is highly desirable
  • A driver's license and full working rights in Australia

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting on-site commissioning, servicing, and repairs of our underground equipment
  • Modification and/or repair of vehicle systems including chassis', drivelines, engines, transmissions, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrics
  • Manufacturing and fitting of electrical and mechanical components
  • Testing and adjusting of all mechanical hydraulics, circuits, and pneumatic components
  • Fault finding, repairing, replacing, and providing technical advice
  • Inspection, analysis, and recording critical mechanical information during the process of undertaking mechanical refurbishment work

All work must be performed safely and at a level of quality acceptable to both us and customer expectations.
