We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be currently working towards IPA/CA/CPA qualification, hold a Bachelor of Accounting degree, and possess strong tax technical knowledge. They will also have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to build strong working relationships with clients, and be proficient in Xero product software.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients under the supervision of their assigned Supervisor. This involves maintaining an appropriate level of service to clients, producing high-quality work, and staying up-to-date with developments in taxation law and relevant accounting standards.

The Accountant will also be expected to meet productivity and client budget targets, provide feedback and guidance to junior staff members, and offer value-added services to clients. They will be responsible for managing their own workflow, planning tasks, and ensuring completed assignments are reviewed by their Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Finalize Client Tax Returns and annual Financial Statements
  • Prepare Financial Statements using client-provided information and third-party sources (when required)
  • E nsure client ATO/ASIC compliance requirements are met correctly and on time
  • Process client bookkeeping requirements as necessary
  • Identify tax issues when preparing and meeting with clients
  • Prepare and analyze management reports for clients
  • Send client proposals and sell them where necessary
  • Act as a point of contact for clients to our firm
  • Project manage the workflow of clients throughout the firm
  • Respond to client queries promptly (within 24 hours)
  • Solve client problems before they become major issues
