Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building and Facilities Coordinator to lead the maintenance, facilities, and cleaning team of a premier performing arts venue in Western Sydney.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the hygiene, maintenance, and replacement of building assets and equipment to ensure the venue is fully operational to support the busy programming schedule of events and productions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and leading the building maintenance, facilities, and cleaning staff.
  • Assisting and supporting the Operations Manager to deliver building and facilities services internally and externally to optimize profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinating and supervising the maintenance, compliance, and replacement of building assets and equipment in accordance with current Work, Health, and Safety requirements.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with external maintenance contractors, equipment hirers, council departments, and key stakeholders relating to the operations of the venue.
  • Contributing to developing, maintaining, and promoting the venue as a centre of excellence in performing arts, events, and exhibitions in Western Sydney region.

About You:

We are looking for a candidate with advanced building and facilities management expertise and experience including facilities coordination and asset maintenance and replacement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in performing arts venues, exhibition spaces, hospitality, or arts and creative industries.
  • Advanced knowledge of Work Health & Safety legislation.
  • Experience and expertise in payroll, budget monitoring, and general administration of the venue and facilities co-ordination.

Please note that an unrestricted drivers' licence and access to a car are essential for this position as some duties and supply pickup are offsite.
