About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to support our health research by delivering high-quality, secure linked data services.

  • Support vital health research by transforming complex health data into meaningful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for

  • Undertaking operational and project linkages to a high standard.
  • Developing and maintaining databases to facilitate linkage of confidential data.
  • Preparing and maintaining comprehensive documentation including systems and database design, test plans and training manuals.
  • Providing database support to other staff in data extraction and processing.
  • Providing advice on study design, data linkage and geocoding of data to client services staff and researchers.
Requirements
  • A degree level qualification in a relevant area with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Well-developed skills in database design and modelling, SQL query-writing and database administration/management.
  • Demonstrated experience in application development (preferably in Visual Basic but not essential).
  • Understanding of data linkage processes and techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience in the coordination or management of complex, data-based projects.
