About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Casa Bar and Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the overall operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Determine the presentation of food and create visually appealing displays.
  • Inspect raw ingredients to ensure quality and safety.
  • Maintain a high level of culinary skills and knowledge to prepare menu items.
  • Plan and estimate food and commodity costs for menus.
  • Prioritize tasks, manage budgets, and control labor and food costs.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and training to kitchen staff.
  • Utilize kitchen equipment and utensils to prepare ingredients and meals.
  • Meet with customers to discuss menu options for special occasions.
  • Monitor and regulate kitchen equipment to ensure food quality.
  • Maintain product, service, and market knowledge.
  • Take pride in food presentation and ensure top quality of food.
  • Take feedback from customers and work with management to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef.
  • Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery.
  • Supervisory skills.
  • Confident approach and results-driven.
  • Flexibility with hours and approach.
  • Good communication and technology skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure to deliver timely and quality results.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range between $70,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation, based on experience and skills. If you are a motivated and experienced Chef looking for a new challenge, please apply or contact us for further information.
