Clinical Research Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Research Coordinator to join our team at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital in Gateshead.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with Principal Investigators, Co-investigators and the research team to conduct clinical research activities through coordination and delivery of direct and indirect care and associated data collection for clinical trials.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the start-up and smooth running of allocated trials onsite with support from Research Leads and your clinical lead.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders including your team, research leads, Principal Investigators, Centre staff and sponsors.
  • Perform clinical tasks such as vital signs, ECGs, venepuncture, medication management as deemed competent, and maintain proficiency.
  • Process samples, coordinate sample collection and dispatch as required.
Key Requirements:
  • AHPRA registration with relevant nursing experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in clinical research co-ordination-nursing, science or Phase 1 research, Oncology or nuclear medicine with an equivalent undergraduate degree.
  • Strong computer literacy with knowledge of clinical trials software and MS Office suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work both independently and as part of a team in an effective, proactive and cooperative manner.
