Job Title: Sterilisation Technician

SA Health is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sterilisation Technician to join our Central Staffing Casual Pool. As a Sterilisation Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective delivery of sterilisation services across our diverse health units.

About the Role

This is a casual pool position, working in various locations across the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network. You will be responsible for processing surgical instruments according to AS/NZS 4187, working collaboratively within an inter-disciplinary team to partner with consumers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process surgical instruments according to AS/NZS 4187
  • Work collaboratively within an inter-disciplinary team
  • Partner with consumers to deliver effective sterilisation services
  • Contribute to the effective delivery of sterilisation services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • AQF Certificate III in Sterilising Services
  • Recent experience working within a sterilising department
  • Sound knowledge of a range of instruments, sterilising methods and infection control principles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to relate to people from different cultures, backgrounds and circumstances
