**About the Role**
The Victorian Aboriginal Child and Family Agency is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Screening, Intake, Triage (SIT) Practitioner. As a SIT Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing support to our Southern Metro Area Orange Door Team by undertaking various administrative tasks and delivering high-quality intake and assessment services to clients.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring that individuals and families referred for support are promptly and accurately assessed, identified, and triaged, enabling timely provision of tailored services to those experiencing family violence, child well-being concerns, or other complex social needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake triage-related administrative tasks to ensure efficient delivery of services.
- Provide intake and assessment functions to incoming referrals and self-presentations of clients.
- Promptly assess, identify, and triage clients to provide tailored services.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess a bachelor's degree in social work or equivalent, with significant lived experience relevant to the work being an advantage. Additionally, you should demonstrate a commitment to the values that underpin the agency's vision and purpose, including awareness of family violence issues and their impacts on Aboriginal women, children, and families.
You must be able to apply a flexible, non-judgmental, and empowering approach to service delivery, foster positive working relationships with other agencies, and have knowledge of local family violence programs, accommodation, legal, health, and community services within the region.
