Career Opportunity with CRM Recruitment
We are partnering with a busy Council to find a skilled Risk Advisor to join their team. This is a hands-on role within a small governance and risk team that looks after main service activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide advice and support to elected members and other staff on statutory compliance, ethical conduct, and good governance.
- Engage with internal stakeholders from operations to General Manager levels.
- Support Councillors, Executives, and other staff in delivering processes to ensure compliance with governance frameworks.
- Contribute to Enterprise Risk Management Framework/System Maintenance, Insurance Portfolio Management, and Insurance Claims Processing.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in applicable laws and regulations.
- 3+ years of experience in the government sector or transferable industries.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with a good understanding of the local government environment.
- Excellent communication skills to work with council and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, with highly developed reading and writing skills.
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, Law, or a related field. Equivalent experience accepted.
