About our Recovery and Restructuring practice

We have an exciting opportunity in our Sydney office for someone looking to start or build upon their Paralegal career.

As a Paralegal, you will be acting on behalf of major banks and non-bank lenders on secured and unsecured recovery matters. The work is fast-paced, which will see you managing a portfolio of files and working alongside lawyers in the team with an emphasis on compliance and quality assurance.

Your duties will include:

  • File management from start to finish;
  • Preparing and issuing legal documents, including statutory notices and court documents;
  • Maintaining regular communications via specialised online web-based portal;
  • Liaising directly with customers in relation to sensitive financial matters;
  • Working with lawyers to progress matters through Courts.

You will be extremely well organised, have superior drafting skills, and close attention to detail. In this role, you will handle a large workload and will be required to keep your workload up to date.

While prior law firm experience is not a pre-requisite, applicants with secured or unsecured recoveries experience will be favourably considered. Law students should only apply if they have 2 years (or more) left on their degree.
