Weekend Door Person

We are seeking a reliable and professional Weekend Door Person to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for our daytime guests.

  • Greet guests with a warm and professional demeanor upon arrival
  • Conduct bag checks to enforce venue policies
  • Monitor entry and exit points during operating hours to maintain safety and security
  • Provide friendly assistance to guests with inquiries about the cinema
  • Enforce venue policies, including compliance with liquor licensing regulations
  • Address any disturbances or issues calmly and efficiently
  • Assist with crowd management during busy periods, ensuring smooth guest flow

About this role:

This is a seasonal position to support our operations during the busy holiday and school break periods.

Key skills and qualifications:

  • A friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude
  • Previous experience in a similar role (preferred but not required)
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to kneel, bend, sit, and stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to move quickly
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally
  • A valid Security Licence or willingness to obtain one (preferred)
  • RSA certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Availability to work daytime shifts, including weekends and school holiday periods
