Job Title

As a seasoned Technical Director, you will take on a senior technical leadership role. This is not just a technical employment opportunity; it's a chance to be the go-to expert on complex civil and infrastructure projects.

About the Role

You will be the main technical point of contact for the project team. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, on time, and with efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance to engineering teams, serving as the primary technical point of contact for subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Project Oversight: Assist with managing all project aspects, including tracking budgets, preparing project programs, and reviewing key submissions like progress claims and variations.
  • Procurement & Contracts: Support with procurement activities and the preparation of subcontract agreements.
  • Risk & Quality Management: Lead the site engineering team in promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring all project quality requirements are met.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Interpret project plans and specifications to create essential technical documentation, RFIs, and project reports.
What We Are Looking For
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of engineering experience in major construction/infrastructure project delivery, preferably in the Civil Engineering space.
  • A recognised degree in an engineering discipline or another relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Strong experience in contract administration and management, including dealing with complex variations.
  • Proven ability to manage construction procurement, scheduling, and cost/cash flow.
  • Proficiency in a range of project management software and ERP systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
