Senior Lecturer Opportunity

This part-time position is for a Senior Lecturer at the School of Medicine, Fremantle Campus.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced academic to work closely with the National Lead of the CCP Domain in curriculum development, coordination, and delivery across the MD program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the National CCP Domain Lead in curriculum development, coordination, and implementation.
  • Lead the implementation of the CCP Domain in the Fremantle MD Program, including managing academic staff and training clinical educators and tutors.
  • Collaborate with other domain leads and assessment teams to ensure CCP learning objectives are appropriately assessed and integrated.
  • Develop and mark examinations, write assessment questions, and develop clinical examination stations.
  • Coordinate and manage clinical exams (OSCEs) in Fremantle across the MD program.
  • Provide administrative leadership to the CCP Domain team in Fremantle.
  • Carry out teaching duties as per university policy.
  • Participate in relevant committees and groups as needed.
Requirements
  • Medical degree registrable with AHPRA and a Fellowship in Medicine, Health, or Medical Education, or a PhD, or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline for over 5 years.
  • Experience in curriculum design, delivery, and assessment in medical education, preferably in a tertiary health setting.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills; experience with clinical and OSCE examinations is desirable.
  • Experience in evidence-based clinical skills teaching at Masters level or higher.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and negotiation skills for effective interaction with diverse staff.
  • Proficiency with relevant technology and teaching programs.
