About the Role

As a commercial construction carpentry apprentice, you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from building frameworks to constructing concrete formwork. You'll be working alongside experienced tradespeople who will mentor and guide you every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions, and installation procedures
  • Measuring materials, following site safety procedures
  • Using a variety of hand and power tools
  • Carrying out calculations and site inductions
  • Cutting materials, working with various crews onsite to broaden your experience
  • Erecting framework
  • Constructing concrete formwork, steel fixing
  • Repairing existing fittings, conducting defect inspections and rectification works
  • May work with plastic laminates, Perspex, and metals
Requirements
  • An interest and commitment to work in the commercial construction sector
  • A Construction White Card
  • A current Driver's Licence and your own reliable transport
  • Physically fit, self-disciplined, and have high attention to detail
  • Reliable, resilient, motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to take direction and take the safety of yourself and your team members seriously
