We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Carpenter to join our installations team in Sydney.

**About the Role**:
If you are looking to start your apprenticeship, or you are already on your way and wanting to take your carpentry skills to the next level, this opportunity is for you Our Apprentices are employed directly by Stairlock and are teamed up with our experienced carpenters, installing our staircases in new builds across Sydney. We will support you to learn all aspects of staircase construction, installation and measures while also providing ongoing employment and future career opportunities. All training costs are paid by Stairlock, we pay above award rates + tool and travel allowances.

**What you can expect in this role**:

- Work as part of the installation team, gaining experience in custom stair building and carpentry techniques
- Opportunity to acquire unique skills and enhance your knowledge and experience in residential building and construction industry.
- Build your product knowledge bank in high end timber.
- Escalate your supply and installation understanding, from production to installed stairs
- Broaden your construction plan interpretation skills with measurements / take offs for staircase needs
- Stay informed with Building Code requirements for all aspects of staircase engineering
- Be challenged to learn and meet project deadlines working within an exciting team environment
- Continuous development and support from your team and manger to support your career growth.

**Value you will bring to the role**:

- Looking to study (or currently studying) certificate lll in carpentry or joinery.
- Current Drivers Licence (Provisional or full licence)
- White Card
- Reliable transport
- A positive can-do attitude, working together and always approach challenges with an open mind.
- Willingness and ability to learn - learn our systems and programs, training provided to up-skill.
- Strong time management skills, and the ability to prioritise.
- Problem solve and resolve issues - we approach problems with a continuous improvement mindset.
