About the Role

This position is responsible for assisting in the daily operation of a gallery and providing customer service duties. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Assist in the daily operation of the gallery, including reception and retail duties;
  • Provide courteous and effective service to the visiting public, including information about exhibitions and public programs;
  • Provide invigilation for the gallery, including weekends and some out-of-hours duties for events and public programs;
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining a highly presentable and welcoming reception area;
  • Provide accurate and informative responses to visitors' queries;
  • Monitor and control access to the gallery during opening hours;
  • Perform administrative tasks associated with the role, as required.
What You'll Need To Succeed
  • A qualification or experience relevant to the arts sector;
  • The ability to provide excellent customer service and work effectively in a team environment;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A high level of attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure;
  • A willingness to obtain Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (if not already held).
