Installation Technician

We are seeking a skilled Installation Technician to join our team. This role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to interface with designers, architects, and builders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Audio-Visual Equipment Installation: Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual equipment including TVs, projectors, distributed video and audio systems.
  • Low Voltage Wiring: Pre-wire or retrofit low voltage wiring for AV / lighting control systems.
  • Schematics Interpretation: Read and interpret schematics/design documents to assist in proper installation and repair of AV and lighting control systems.
  • Network Installation: Install, configure, and maintain basic networks and wireless networking equipment including professional grade routers, switches, and access points.
  • Shade Installation: Install motorized and manual window shades.
  • Lighting Control Systems: Install low voltage lighting systems including LED strip lighting, keypads, and other low voltage fixtures.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions to meet project deadlines and client satisfaction.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, trades, and colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 5+ years experience in AV, networking, and/or lighting control trades.
  • Tool Proficiency: Ability to use power and hand tools.
  • Technical Aptitude: Aptitude for working with technology and structured networks.
  • Cable Termination: Ability to terminate various cables (RG6, RJ45, fiber).
  • Wire Management: Neatly run wire and cable within racks and framed homes.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, attics, crawl spaces, and equipment closets.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Residential Experience: Residential experience preferred.
  • System Familiarity: Familiarity with Lutron Lighting Control and Savant is preferred.
  • Driver's License: Valid US driver's license.
