About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Eco Careers LTD. as a key member of our New Homes Development department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and accurate cost management for complex large volume development projects.
  • Deal with contractual issues and procurement and payment of sub-contractors.
  • Provide cost-data feedback to the Divisional Estimating Department.
  • Administer and manage the financial aspects of the development.
  • Review and forecast the latest cost estimates and report to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external employers, such as Housing Associations.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to the Company's Health and Safety Policy.
Requirements
  • Assistant Quantity Surveyor experience in a main contractor or housebuilder.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.
  • Knowledge of the Residential Development market.
  • Commercially aware with analytical and proactive approach towards problem solving.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Pragmatic and able to assess situations by considering the benefits and risks for all parties.
  • Confident in managing suppliers and negotiating contracts.
  • Ability to build excellent working relationships.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • CSCS card.
Desirable Requirements
  • Degree or other technical qualification.
  • Experience in high volume house building, e.g. 200+ units.
  • Experience over qualifications will be considered as we're open to supporting you with qualifications.
