Teacher Support Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide tailored support that empowers students to thrive in a collaborative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform administrative duties including typing teachers' notes, maintaining class rolls, duplicating teaching materials, recording examination results, and compiling student records.
  • Supervise small groups of students during specific learning activities designed by teachers.
  • Conduct reading, maths, art, and sports activities with applicable resources in cooperation with teachers.
  • Lead class/group tutorials in the computer laboratory, including Microsoft Word and Publisher, in partnership with teachers.
  • Monitor students during playground supervision, bus duty, sporting activities, and school excursions with teacher collaboration.
  • Contribute to students' welfare, health, and safety, including first aid delivery.
  • Assist students with special needs, including movement assistance, positioning, meals, toileting, and dressing as required.
  • Maintain anecdotal records for student development reviews.
  • Demonstrate respect, empathy, confidentiality, reliability, and sensitivity towards students and their families.
  • Manage teaching/learning resources, book hire schemes, loans, and retrievals efficiently.
  • Support teachers in behaviour management programs, learning support initiatives, and therapy programs, working closely with specialists.
  • Operate the printery effectively, utilising time management and work organisation skills.
  • Produce publications as needed, adhering to negotiated deadlines with teaching and administration staff.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Current formal training in first aid administration.
  • Able to maintain up-to-date qualifications.
