Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team in Brisbane. As a Transportation Specialist, you will play a critical front-line role in providing revenue protection, safety and security of our customers and drivers.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel on route services around the Redlands Coast, surrounding suburbs and into Brisbane city
  • Provide a positive public transport experience to customers
  • Maintain a visible presence on board our bus network service and bus stations in our service area
  • Protect revenue by performing revenue protection and compliance activities
  • Issue Penalty Infringement and Warning Notices
  • Use the Fare Evasion Information Management System (FEIMS) to report on operational activities
  • Participate in community engagement programs or activities to proactively promote positive behaviour when travelling on a public passenger transport network

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Full Australian working rights (an Australian citizen or permanent resident)
  • Well-developed communication and written skills
  • The ability to remain calm and respond appropriately exercising good judgement while working in high pressured environments
  • Experience or the ability to use various systems and devices to perform revenue protection duties, including ticket inspection and fare evasion
  • The ability to work closely within a small operational team and with a partner, with limited supervision
