Civil Design Team Leader Job Description

The successful candidate will lead a team of experienced civil designers in delivering high-quality design projects for a variety of civil infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing the civil design team to deliver projects on time and within scope.
  • Providing sound construction advice and mentoring junior staff members.
  • Ensuring high-level professional and technical design skills are maintained, including problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Managing and maintaining expertise in computer-aided design (CAD), Civil 3D, Drains (stormwater modelling program), HEC RAS and Tuflow.
  • Coordinating with other teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering.
  • Proven experience in leading, managing and mentoring a civil based design team.
  • Expert computer skills and proven experience in CAD, Civil 3D, Drains, HEC RAS and Tuflow.
  • Registered member of the Institute of Engineers Australia.
