About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Manager PMO, where you will play a key role in maintaining the Project Management Framework and ensuring the integrity of all processes, procedures, and projects governance and assurance measures across the Council.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage project systems and documentation processes to ensure timely and appropriate generation, collection, dissemination, storage, and disposal of relevant project information.
  • Update all information relating to process mapping, process improvement, project management activities, and templates on the PMO Intranet Page, in accordance with best practice knowledge management guidelines.
  • Support Project Managers to create and actively manage/update project plans, identify cross-project dependencies, and monitor these with the Project Manager and PMO Manager.
  • Actively review project status reports for all projects and escalate issues to the PMO Manager, as well as review risks, issues, and change-control processes and assist the Project Manager to actively manage these.

Requirements:

  • Strong project management skills and experience in maintaining project management frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with business units across the Council.
  • Ability to identify improvement opportunities and understand and support planned improvements initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver the necessary diligence and strategic challenge, overview, and scrutiny across portfolios and projects.
