Job Title: Shops Team Lead

This role involves overseeing the daily operations of our hospital shops, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and efficiency in all aspects of shop management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise a team of dedicated volunteers to achieve exceptional customer service and sales results.
  • Coordinate day-to-day shop operations, including food preparation, point-of-sale activities, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve systems, enhance the customer experience, and support fundraising efforts.
  • Collaborate with management and volunteer leaders to achieve shared goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage staff or volunteers, and allocate tasks effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in espresso coffee making, food preparation, and quality control within a hospitality setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to motivate and train a diverse team.
  • Knowledge of food safety legislation and standards, with relevant training.
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and rostering skills to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in point-of-sale systems.
