Electrical Panel Technician Job Description

This is a key role in the execution of new projects and service to our clients. You will be part of the manufacturing team producing high quality electrical products for various industries.

About the Role
  • Fabrication of low voltage MCC's, control panels, distribution boards, marshalling panels and communications cubicles to design specifications;
  • Assembly of modular switchboards and motor control centres;
  • Wiring and termination of motor starter modules, incomer modules, power metering equipment, programmable logic controllers, field marshalling and control panels;
  • Fabrication of Bus Bar systems in compliance with Australian standards;
  • Completion of daily duties as specified by Leading Hand; and
  • Ensure workshop safety standards and procedures are adhered to.
Requirements
  • Trade certified Electrician;
  • At least 2+ years post trade experience in similar role;
  • Unrestricted Electrical License is preferable;
  • A working knowledge of the AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008 and AS/NZS 61439 standards;
  • Be able to read and understand schematic wiring diagrams, termination drawings and general arrangement drawings accurately;
  • Have a strong focus on safety, quality workmanship and adherence to quality procedures;
  • A willingness to commit to a workshop based role.
