Role Description:

Silver Sponge Panel and Paint Pty Ltd is expanding its reputation for premium vehicle care by offering advanced body repair and restoration services. We are looking for a skilled Panel Beater to join our growing team. This role involves restoring vehicles to their original condition by repairing body damage, realigning panels and ensuring structural integrity while maintaining Silver Sponge's high standards of craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and repair damage to vehicle bodies, including dents, creases and structural issues.
  • Remove, replace and realign panels, bumpers and body components.
  • Use welding and metalworking tools to reshape and restore vehicle frames.
  • Operate panel beating machinery and repair systems (e.g., spot welders, dent pullers, etc.).
  • Collaborate with vehicle painters and detailers to ensure seamless quality outcomes.
  • Conduct final checks and test fittings to ensure safety and finish.
  • Maintain a safe and organised workshop environment.
Skill Level Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology (Panel Beating) or equivalent trade qualification.
  • At least 2 years of practical experience in a panel beater role.
  • Skilled in welding, panel alignment and frame straightening.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver high quality repairs.
  • Understanding of vehicle structures and modern repair techniques.

  • Strong safety mindset and familiarity with OH&S standards.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team oriented environment.
