Our organization is looking for a skilled Electrician to fill a Service Electrician position. This is a Full Time Permanent role based in Newcastle, Australia.

We are part of a global company that specializes in the lift, elevator and crane industry with a strong focus on customer service. Due to continued growth in the region we require an experienced Service Electrician to join our team in a full time permanent capacity.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Service Manager and work autonomously managing their own time and running their own jobs. If you're an Electrician with experience in a Service oriented role then we would like to hear from you.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspections of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical issues in elevator and escalator control systems, wiring, and components
  • Rostered on call duties responsible for your region - Newcastle, Upper Hunter, Lower Mid-North Coast
  • Collaborating with maintenance teams
  • Installing new electrical and mechanical systems
  • Maintaining records of service visits, repairs, and installations
  • Adhering rigorously to safety protocols and industry codes to ensure a secure working environment

Requirements:

  • Valid Electrical licence
  • Experience as a service electrician, with a background in elevator or escalator systems being an advantage
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently
  • Genuine commitment to safety
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivation and the capacity to work independently or collaboratively
  • Flexibility to work on-call and respond promptly to emergencies
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and dependable transportation
