About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Enterprise Network Software and Systems team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and operating the next generation of cloud infrastructure services.

Your primary focus will be on building and owning telemetry systems, foundational services, and automation tools that enable self-healing for our systems and minimize the work required of humans. You will work closely with our Network/Systems/Software Engineering teams to ensure fast, smooth roll-out of new designs and products, as well as assist with deployment and sustaining of networking software tools.

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on complex challenges in existing and new development initiatives, design and develop software systems that are secure, maintainable, scalable, and extendable, and collaborate with internal customers and stakeholders to understand their pain points and requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software systems that are secure, maintainable, scalable, and extendable.
  • Work with internal customers and stakeholders to understand their pain points and requirements.
  • Collaborate with our Network/Systems/Software Engineering teams to ensure fast, smooth roll-out of new designs and products.
  • Assist with deployment and sustaining of networking software tools.
  • Develop internal solutions that allow us to scale via automation and automate away operational inefficiencies.
Requirements
  • Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.
  • Experience with distributed systems at scale.
