Job Title

The role of a Reliability Specialist Trainee is to assist experienced technicians in carrying out equipment inspections across heavy industrial and mining sites.

  • Assist in completing equipment condition assessments on heavy industrial and mine sites.
  • Gain experience using advanced NDE techniques, including ECA (Eddy Current Array) and UT (Ultrasonic Testing).
  • Complete assigned competency and qualification training modules.
  • Ensure equipment is setup, calibrated, and functional for each inspection.
  • Conduct housekeeping and maintenance duties.
  • Perform general tasks as instructed by qualified trades.
  • Prepare post-site visit reports, time sheets, and expenses after site visits.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety procedures and operating instructions.
  • Undertake repetitive work while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively with other employees both verbally and in writing.
  • Travel to remote areas for periods of time at short notice.
  • Working at heights and confined space tickets are desirable.
Requirements:
  • A mechanical background and aptitude with experience using power and hand tools.
  • Committed to developing a career in the mining industry.
