- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Sound level of nursing skills and experience in emergency nursing.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Commitment to flexibility and innovation in practice, including an evidence-based approach to care.
- Ability to use initiative and work independently.
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Recognition of deterioration in condition and ability to escalate concerns.
- Written and computer skills at the level required to fulfill the role.
- Commitment to undertaking our organization's mandatory competencies and education opportunities.
- Ability to work all shifts on a flexible roster across both ED and SSU.
- Postgraduate Emergency or Critical Care Nursing qualification.
- Paediatric Postgraduate qualification (25% of our presentations are paediatric).
- Passion for ongoing professional development in Emergency Department.
- Commitment to participating in departmental education, mentoring programs, and quality improvement projects.
