About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Symal Infrastructure. As a key member of our Health and Safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, contractors, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain the project's Health and Safety Management System and associated sub-plans.
  • Coach and mentor project personnel on Health and Safety matters, including client contractual obligations.
  • Understand and implement Health and Safety legislation and associated client procedures.
  • Conduct accident investigations, risk assessments, and toolbox talks.
  • Develop and deliver Health and Safety training programs for staff, consultants, and supply chain partners.
  • Monitor and report on Health and Safety performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure Health and Safety standards are integrated into project planning and procurement.
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Health and Safety, preferably in a tier 1 or 2 construction company.
  • Minimum 2 years of construction site-based experience, preferably on a major infrastructure, road, or rail project.
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders.
