Role Overview

Nyrstar Port Pirie is seeking a dedicated individual to provide oversight and coordination in the execution of planned maintenance across the Finished Products Electrical Maintenance Department. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finished Products Superintendent to assist with the coordination of plant-related maintenance actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and document asset health to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Provide cost estimation and tracking to support financial planning and decision-making.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) initiatives to identify and address potential failures and improve overall reliability.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans for contracting parties and engage in maintenance planning activities for work management.
  • Closing out work as per procurement and accounts payable processes.
  • Develop or assist with the development of scope of works.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in leading maintenance teams and supervising tradespeople.
  • 8+ years' experience as a tradesperson in heavy industry.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in reliability and maintenance management principles.
  • Significant experience with Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
