ESG Researcher Role Overview

This role is a key member of our Equity Research team in Sydney. You will work alongside high-performing analysts and build upon your existing skills and market knowledge.

You will be part of a global financial services group operating in 31 markets with 56 years of unbroken profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cover ESG issues affecting companies and industries
  • Assist our senior ESG analyst to maintain an ESG lens over sectors within the Australian market
  • Build relationships and interact with key industry participants to conduct research and contribute to the publication of research reports
  • Analyse and assist with providing written and oral commentary on ESG
  • Maintain industry databases and undertake company analysis
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2+ years relevant work experience e.g. equity research, investment management, sustainability, corporate social responsibility
  • Experience in an ESG related role is preferred
  • Strong numerical and financial modelling skills and well-versed in financial concepts such as valuation techniques and reviewing balance sheets/P&L
  • Degree educated in an accounting, finance, economics or social science degree
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to building good relationships
  • Completed or completing CA or CFA qualifications is advantageous
